Market Intelligence Manager – Fertiliser (Africa)

• Build and maintain a structured intelligence view of fertiliser markets across priority African countries

• Monitor global and regional developments affecting Africa: outages, capacity, trade flows, freight, ports, policy, FX, weather and geopolitics

• Maintain regional price series, benchmarks, netback views and freight-adjusted comparisons

• Develop short- and medium-term scenarios for supply, demand, imports, prices and competitor behaviour

• Maintain profiles of producers, exporters, importers, distributors, blenders and major customers

• Conduct market segmentation and opportunity sizing by country, crop, product, segment and channel

• Monitor crop calendars, yields, farmer economics, subsidy programmes and nutrient-use patterns

• Provide inputs to annual and long-range marketing and business plans

• Support business cases, market-entry assessments, partnerships, JVs and due diligence

• Produce executive briefs, market outlooks and presentations for regional and HQ stakeholders

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Finance, Business, Marketing, Statistics, Data Analytics or related field (preferred)

• Experience in market intelligence, market analysis, strategy, commercial analytics, consulting or commodity research (essential)

• Experience in fertiliser, phosphates, ammonia, agriculture or related markets; African fertiliser exposure strongly preferred

• Research, forecasting, competitor analysis, market sizing, pricing analysis and executive reporting experience

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI or market-intelligence platforms advantageous

• Ability to build transparent analytical models, test scenarios and interpret incomplete data

• Excellent written and verbal English, executive presentation and stakeholder-influencing skills
