Senior Business Intelligence Developer – Asset Management
Job Overview
GoldenRule is recruiting a Senior Business Intelligence Developer for the IT solutions team of an asset management company in Cape Town (CareerJunction 2646776; posted 30 October 2026; advert valid to 3 December 2026). The role analyses, designs and builds BI solutions that enable operations and the business’s strategic goals in an environment that places a high value on data.
Working across the full BI stack, the Senior BI Developer elicits business requirements, combines data from multiple sources into a single source of truth, builds relational and dimensional models and Power BI or Qlik reporting, interprets data to improve business processes, and mentors junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
• Elicit and analyse business requirements with stakeholders across business divisions
• Design, build and maintain BI solutions through the full stack
• Prepare and combine data from multiple sources to create a single source of truth
• Deliver relational and dimensional data modelling
• Analyse and interpret data and build reports that provide business insight and improve processes
• Mentor junior BI team members and drive project delivery
Required Qualifications
• Relevant degree
• 5+ years’ experience as a BI Analyst/Developer
• Experience in Power BI or Qlik; advanced SQL; strong numeracy
• Proven track record of project delivery
• Advantageous: QlikView/QlikSense, Python, Azure/AWS, MS SQL Server, SSIS, Talend, Snowflake, Agile/Scrum, C#/Java/Angular
• Financial services experience advantageous
