Job Overview

A Limpopo citrus producer-exporter is recruiting a Commercial Manager reporting to the CEO (ref RA-5C46F166; apply before 5 December 2026; advertised R100,000–R133,333 per month). The purpose is to optimise net farmgate income through an integrated fruit export marketing, logistics, administration and customer-relationship strategy.

The role manages citrus export marketing across two packhouses and 2m+ export cartons, outbound export logistics through specialist service providers, and designs and leads the marketing and export logistics team operating model across the full order-to-commercial-reporting cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Operationally manage citrus export marketing strategy across two packhouses and 2m+ export cartons

• Prepare and review seasonal and weekly crop estimates (volume, sizing, quality) aligned with harvesting

• Develop the pre-season fruit marketing plan and weekly marketing plan and packing instructions

• Negotiate and execute weekly sales order commitments with optimal returns

• Monitor supply and demand market data to guide programmes, pricing and market allocation

• Manage outbound logistics – packhouse-to-port transport, cold stores, freight forwarding and shipping

• Build the team operating model: role ownership, handovers, dashboards and continuous improvement

• Maintain long-term customer relationships and accurate financial and export data

Required Qualifications

• Financial, commercial, logistics, agricultural economics or business management qualification (NQF 7)

• Minimum 5 years in commercial management, fruit export marketing, logistics or customer account management

• Citrus export marketing / fruit logistics experience advantageous

• Available for after-hours and weekend work in peak season and local/international travel

• High level of confidentiality and discretion
