Job Overview

Goldman Tech Resourcing (trading as Stand-Out Staffing) is recruiting a permanent Solutions Architect in Cape Town for a client seeking to drive the design and delivery of scalable, secure and innovative technology solutions (Careers24 2395820; reference SA03; advertised at R79,167 per month / R950,000 per annum; apply before 25 December 2026). The role suits a technically strong professional with extensive software delivery experience, AWS cloud expertise and hands-on exposure to AI-enabled applications.

The Solutions Architect designs end-to-end solutions aligned to business objectives and architectural standards, leads design across software development, integration, APIs, data, authentication and security, builds within AWS, and evaluates and integrates generative AI, machine learning services and intelligent automation into practical business solutions – turning proofs of concept into production-ready implementations while working with agile delivery teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end technology solutions aligned with business objectives and architectural standards

• Lead solution design across software development, integration, APIs, data, authentication and security

• Develop and implement solutions within AWS cloud environments

• Evaluate and integrate AI, generative AI, ML services and intelligent automation into business solutions

• Translate technical concepts and proofs of concept into production-ready implementations

• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security and other non-functional requirements

• Collaborate with agile delivery teams, business stakeholders and IT specialists

• Provide technical leadership and communicate architectural decisions to diverse audiences

Required Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience

• 10+ years in software delivery, solution design or the SDLC

• 3+ years as Solution Architect, Application Architect, Technical Lead or similar

• 2+ years designing and delivering AWS cloud solutions

• Practical exposure to AI-enabled applications, generative AI, ML services and intelligent automation

• Strong modern web architecture knowledge (SPAs, React, TypeScript); agile delivery experience
