Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage strategic vendor relationships for Amazon’s African customer experience

• Grow product selection and manage category profitability

• Optimise pricing in partnership with internal stakeholders

• Develop and lead the vendor-management team

• Invent approaches to ambiguous customer and commercial problems

• Drive cross-functional alignment with marketing, marketplace, legal, supply chain and operations

• Negotiate commercially with internal and external stakeholders

• Deliver complex projects with strong business judgement and analytical rigour

• Evaluate customer landscapes and translate insights into action

• Operate autonomously in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree

• Experience negotiating with internal and external stakeholders

• Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

• 7+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience

• Preferred: MBA

• Ability to work lawfully in South Africa (identity document / passport and applicable work permit if a foreign national required at application)
