Job Overview

Hire Resolve is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for a cybersecurity SaaS client in Johannesburg (hybrid). You will design, build and maintain innovative, scalable and secure applications for the client’s SaaS platform—with emphasis on clean code, performance optimisation, security compliance and collaboration with cross-functional teams on architectural decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain scalable, secure SaaS applications; write clean, efficient code; conduct code reviews and testing; implement features and automated tests. Contribute to SaaS platform architecture for scalability and maintainability; collaborate on technical solutions with product, design and engineering peers.

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks; optimise code and database queries; implement caching where appropriate. Apply security best practices, assessments and security-focused code reviews. Participate in agile processes, communicate project status, stay current with industry trends and advocate process/best-practice improvements.

Required Qualifications

About 4–5 years’ professional software development experience including prior SaaS work. Expertise in PHP, Go (Golang), Python and JavaScript; front-end frameworks (Vue.js, React) and back-end frameworks (Symfony, FastAPI); proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP); strong software architecture, design-pattern and best-practice skills.
