Job Overview

Goldman Tech Resourcing (Stand-Out Staffing) is recruiting a commercially astute Senior Procurement Manager in Cape Town to own procurement strategy, supplier performance, and team management across multiple regions. You will balance cost, quality, compliance, and operational needs while supporting project and site teams.

Deliverables include budget-aligned pricing, oversight of Cape Town buyers, sustainable supplier partnerships, import-cost control, B-BBEE and SHEQ supplier compliance, and efficient site-support prioritisation—plus full departmental budget, risk, and people leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Procurement Department against strategic and operational objectives

• Develop and manage departmental budget; review performance and correct variances

• Identify cost-reduction and cash-conservation opportunities; manage procurement risks

• Negotiate commercial terms while protecting quality and service standards

• Build sustainable supplier partnerships and monitor supplier performance

• Monitor and control import-related costs; safeguard assets and working capital

• Ensure B-BBEE requirements and SHEQ/SCQMS alignment in procurement processes

• Prioritise site requirements and advise site management on procurement matters

• Lead risk assessments and mitigation; recruit, develop, coach, and review the team

Required Qualifications

• BCom Degree, Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related qualification

• 8–10 years’ relevant working experience

• At least 5 years in a senior procurement role

• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle

• Strong supplier negotiation and relationship-management skills

• Excellent financial and analytical capability

• Strong leadership and people-management skills

• Ability to operate under pressure in a deadline-driven environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication; high professionalism and attention to detail
