Programme Manager – Cyber & Information Security
Job Overview
One of the world's largest fund administration and middle-office solutions providers is hiring a Programme Manager – Cybersecurity and Information Security to join its team in Cape Town (Johannesburg also considered). This is a hands-on leadership role: you will both deliver and coordinate complex, business-critical programmes that drive strategic change across the organisation and for its clients.
Information and cyber security delivery is the key focus. You will embed security considerations throughout the programme lifecycle, apply current security frameworks, standards and SOC requirements, and work across security, technology, risk, compliance and business teams — translating technical concepts into clear business outcomes and challenging where needed to ensure security requirements are met.
You will own programme-level governance, risks, dependencies, budgets and stakeholder communications, apply Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methods as appropriate, and operate across global time zones and cultures.
Key Responsibilities
Lead complex, business-critical programmes, coordinating multiple interdependent projects and workstreams
Translate executive-level objectives into executable programme plans and maintain delivery momentum
Drive delivery of Information Security and Cyber Security initiatives and embed security across the lifecycle
Apply security frameworks, standards, SOC requirements and governance across programmes
Manage programme governance, risks, dependencies, budgets and transparent senior reporting
Maintain oversight of regulatory, operational resilience and risk-management expectations
Engage, influence and challenge senior and executive stakeholders across global time zones
Select and apply Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira or MS Project
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years as a Programme Manager leading large-scale programmes of multiple projects and workstreams
Strong project management background with a track record of delivering complex change
Significant experience delivering Information Security and/or Cyber Security programmes
Proven programme-level governance, risk, dependency, budget and stakeholder management
Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches
Nice to have: change delivery in financial services, banking, asset management, fund administration or FinTech; operational resilience requirements for financial institutions
