Job Overview

The Talent Experts is recruiting a National Head of Facilities for a trailblazing organisation redefining the property landscape with innovative serviced logistics parks (CareerJunction 2644875). This newly created role is based in Cape Town CBD, with regular travel to business parks across Cape Town and Gauteng, and puts the incumbent at the helm of facilities, technical infrastructure, security and operational readiness across a growing multi-site property portfolio.

Rather than doing maintenance directly, the National Head leads regional facilities teams and suppliers across CCTV, access control, security, maintenance, utilities, compliance and preventative maintenance, with more direct technical involvement in IT and networking specifications, scope reviews and sign-off. Acting as 2IC on national operational matters, the role works closely with senior leadership and Projects on new-site delivery and builds consistent national facilities standards. Package includes a basic salary, possible performance bonus and provident fund after probation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead facilities, technical infrastructure, security and operational readiness across a multi-site property portfolio

• Lead regional facilities teams and suppliers across CCTV, access control, security, maintenance and utilities

• Drive compliance and preventative maintenance programmes across sites

• Specify, review scopes and sign off IT and networking infrastructure

• Act as 2IC on national operational matters alongside senior leadership

• Work with Projects on new-site and infrastructure delivery

• Manage budgets and CAPEX; maintain strong systems and accurate reporting

• Build consistent national facilities standards and hold teams and suppliers accountable

Required Qualifications

• Matric minimum

• 5–10 years’ multi-site facilities experience within commercial, industrial or logistics property

• Exposure to IT/networking, CCTV, access control, OHS and building infrastructure

• Supplier management and compliance experience

• Project management exposure, particularly new sites or infrastructure delivery

• Budgeting and CAPEX experience; ability to read technical information

• Strong leadership experience; travel to Johannesburg a few days per month
