Job Overview

A leading manufacturing organisation based in Somerset West, Western Cape, is seeking a motivated and analytical Management Accountant to join its finance team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to gain hands-on exposure to operational finance, financial reporting, governance, budgeting, and forecasting within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will take ownership of the weekly reporting process while supporting the onsite finance team with month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial governance activities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee weekly reporting across all departments. Improve and standardise financial reporting processes. Support financial governance and compliance. Assist with accurate and timely month-end reporting. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Monitor budget performance and identify key variances. Participate in internal and external audit processes.

Required Qualifications

Completed BCom Accounting Degree. Completed SAIPA or CIMA articles. 2-3 years post-articles experience. Strong analytical and reporting skills. Manufacturing or operational finance experience advantageous.
