Job Overview

Lead a specialist team creating investment products and structured finance solutions using financial markets and derivatives-based structuring. Own product viability, structuring quality, ongoing risk management and P&L for solutions that serve both shareholder and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate opportunities and design optimal structured solutions within risk appetite.

• Coordinate execution of solutions with internal specialists and external counterparties.

• Build and manage a team of product development, implementation and structuring specialists.

• Own ongoing risk management of products and structured solutions, including legal and regulatory risk and P&L.

• Formulate and execute strategy for a financial markets product business.

Required Qualifications

• Preferred CA(SA), CFA, Masters in Tax Law or similar; strong finance degree with 10–12+ years related experience.

• 10–15 years in structuring and balance sheet optimisation.

• Structuring experience involving long-term insurance, pensions or similar long-dated liabilities; investment banking structuring; derivative sales and structuring.

• In-depth exposure across asset classes; strong problem-solving, issues management and business analysis skills.
