Job Overview

Mindcor is recruiting an entrepreneurial and commercially strong General Manager for a manufacturing business in Heathfield, Cape Town (CareerJunction 2646075; advertised at R100,000 – R108,300 per month). The role suits a General Manager, Sales Leader or Business Leader with demonstrated experience in sales and manufacturing or production environments who wants full accountability for business performance.

The General Manager leads operations, strengthens customer relationships, identifies new opportunities and owns the P&L, budgets and financial targets. Working closely with the Factory Manager, the role creates alignment between sales, customers and factory operations, makes informed stock and inventory decisions, and balances sales growth with sound operational execution while building accountability, initiative and commercial thinking across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead operations and take full accountability for business performance and growth
Assume full accountability for P&L and financial management
Develop and execute budgets and deliver against agreed financial targets
Identify, pursue and convert new commercial opportunities to improve revenue and margins
Strengthen customer relationships and create alignment between sales, customers and factory operations
Work closely with the Factory Manager to coordinate commercial and operational activities
Make informed decisions on stock and inventory requirements
Encourage accountability, initiative and commercial thinking across the business

Required Qualifications

Strong sales and commercial experience
Experience with budgets, profitability and/or P&L accountability
Operational understanding of manufacturing or production environments
Strong understanding of stock management, procurement and supply chain
Strong customer orientation and relationship ability
Hands-on, accountable for outcomes; Cape Town based
