Job Overview

A premier player in the freight and logistics space is seeking a values-driven Finance Director in Durban to lead national financial leadership, commercial strategy, risk governance and operational profitability within a listed group environment.

You will take executive ownership of a dynamic national finance portfolio across multi-site operations, offering high-level group exposure, strategic impact and commercial influence. The mandate spans leading high-performing finance functions, driving profitability across the network and owning governance and risk.

Suited to an executive-level CA(SA) with 5–10+ years in senior financial leadership within a listed group managing multi-site national operations; logistics, supply chain, transport, warehousing or manufacturing experience is highly advantageous. Permanent role, market-related salary.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide national financial leadership across a multi-site freight and logistics business within a listed group

• Drive commercial strategy and operational profitability across the national portfolio

• Own risk governance and financial control for the group's operations

• Lead and develop high-performing, multi-site finance functions

• Provide strategic and commercial input as part of the executive team with group-level exposure

Required Qualifications

• Active CA(SA) in good standing (essential)

• 5 to 10+ years in a senior executive financial leadership role within a listed group structure managing multi-site national operations

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, transport, warehousing or manufacturing highly advantageous

• Familiarity with Sage 300 (Accpac/People), Oracle Hyperion, IDU or Shipshape is a plus
