Job Overview
Ensure bank collections functions run efficiently on a 24/7/365 basis. Assist in design and continuous improvement of processes, systems, operating rules and policies. Track performance metrics, analyse bottlenecks and take corrective action. Implement credit and collections solutions. Hands-on involvement in front-line work is expected.
Key Responsibilities
Manage risk-operations processes and customer relationships. Identify and manage delinquent accounts; take collections and recovery actions. Run a client credit portfolio. Analyse data for credit-risk patterns. Oversee client-dispute handling. Apply policy discretion to re-assess credit scoring. Execute collections and recovery strategies. Manage external collections agencies within SLAs. Maintain a risk register. Monitor daily and monthly reports. Lead and upskill the team. Develop collections and credit-ops policies aligned to the regulatory framework.
Required Qualifications
4-6 years debt-management experience; people-management experience; at least 2 years in financial planning at a senior level. Bachelor's in finance, accounting, economics, law or business management; FAIS accredited. Preferred: honours and/or NQF 9. Skills in planning, problem-solving, conflict management, analytics and regulatory compliance.
