Job Overview
Design and oversee implementation of highly available public and private cloud infrastructure, distributed systems and platform solutions that lower operational burden and increase infrastructure and software-delivery performance. Perpetuate a DevOps culture and increase operational performance through process automation.
Key Responsibilities
Design and advise on building highly available private and public cloud infrastructure, distributed systems and platform solutions. Design and build automated infrastructure using open-source tools. Design networks and information systems. Contribute to architectural oversight, direction and technical strategy. Contribute to Delivery Automation strategy. Advise development teams on workloads suitable for public cloud, PaaS/SaaS offerings, and highly available scalable application architecture.
Required Qualifications
2 years in an equivalent cloud-infrastructure architecture role and 5 years IT experience. Grade 12; tertiary qualification in computer science preferred. Cloud-native development and public-cloud solutions (AWS essential; Azure beneficial). Knowledge of Java, JavaScript and/or Python. Kubernetes and Docker. Infrastructure automation (e.g. Ansible). CI/CD, Git, virtualisation, networking, storage, security.
