Job Overview
Intermediate Business Analyst in the Benefit Management System (BMS) area within Health Benefit Solutions. Interface between multiple business areas and delivery teams, support projects through the lifecycle, and manage release and post-release monitoring. The role is technical, with coaching of junior BAs where required.
Key Responsibilities
Run requirements gathering and JAD workshops.
Perform BA task estimation and recommend requirements approaches.
Produce accurate customer requirements documents with stakeholder approval.
Present to senior stakeholders and support process improvement programmes.
Document functional requirements that clearly define project objectives.
Construct complex process, data and UML models; integrate data to understand clinical rules.
Read and interpret ERDs, maintain data within databases, and apply solid SQL knowledge.
Resolve requirements conflict through stakeholder engagement.
Guide junior and intermediate business analysts; quality-assure BA deliverables.
Identify and document risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.
Support change control, release management, solution development and testing.
Required Qualifications
BSc Computer Science or equivalent 3-year IT qualification.
UML course completed.
At least 3 years' experience as a Business Analyst.
Experience in process mapping, UML modelling, requirements analysis and development.
Experience with project management, change control, release management, solution development and software testing.
Expert understanding of SDLC, waterfall and Agile approaches.
Strong analytical, facilitation, negotiation and business writing skills.
Ability to work with stakeholders across levels and backgrounds.
